Thanks for the tips! i wish i could get taller filters than I recently got at a department store which carried Bunn filters. They were shorter than the original filters i bought.

We purchased a commercial Bunn off of eBay 1 mo ago. It wouldn't work! My husband took everything apart. The gasket leading out of the holding tank was not secure. There was dark brown HARD lime in the resevoir tank. Some of the wires were disconnected. He cleaned out about two cups of hard lime deposits (was no small ordeal!) re-connected the wires, replaced the gasket and cleaned the whole machine inside and out. It took 2 days to fix it BUT now it works like a NEW machine. It was well worth the money. So, if you get a "lemon" make sure you take it apart and see what's wrong first, could be something easily remedied. We LOVE OUR BUNN now! Wackenhoot

Regarding the last comment about the used Bunn brewer, we sells Bunn products (www.coffeemakersetc.com), and Bunn has one of the greatest customer service departments around if you need with one of their products. They can be reached at 800-352-2866 (home models) or 800-637-8606 (commercial models).

I've had one or two occasions to call Bunn for service [both instances where *years* of use had seen a gasket wear out] and each time I had the requisite replacement part within a day or two, and at no cost to me whatsoever.

It'll be interesting to see if Bunn can meet the same level of service with their more recent brewers [i.e. their new pod systems and the like] which have far more moving parts. I'm sure they'll make every effort.
