Loan for a Latte?

You might be paying more for your mega-latte at your corner coffee bar… not because coffee prices are coming back from their too-long low, but because the price of milk just took a sizable leap.

Demand for cow-juice is up, and supply is down, apparently because of curtailed Canadian imports.. fallout from last years’ mad cow scare. It doesn’t take a lot of economics know-how to figure out that the result is gonna find its way to your coffee bar’s menu soon.

How ’bout an espresso? Neat?

Morning coffee ‘not best boost’?

According to the Beeb, that jumbo cup o’ Joe first thing in the morning may not give you the jump-start you’re looking for. Instead, a cup at a time throughout the day appears to be the way to go… a theory that surely warms the hearts of espresso bars everywhere, not to mention the makers of all those cup-at-a-time brewers that will be weighing heavily on retailers’ shelves this holiday season. Favorite quote:

“But, if you are feeling sleepy during the day, a 20-minute nap beats three cups of coffee any day. That’s what your body needs. “

‘Course, any kindergartener would tell you the same.

CC Me

I’m pleased to note I’ve finally adopted a Creative Commons license for the content that is Bloggle. That is to say, I’ve chosen to reserve some rights… a refreshing change, I think, to an increasingly whacky copyright system.

Look! It’s a weblog! Again!

Pardon the dust here, y’all…

Bloggle is going through a few changes, mostly intended to make it easier for me to just write, rather than hacking and slashing though increasingly out-dated and embarrassing code. I have more than enough of that sort of thing, already, thanks.

There’s a few bits and pieces that are currently offline, which will come online again Real Soon Now.

Honest!

Postscript: Actually, everything is still here… it’s just not yet been brought into line with the shiny new look n’ feel.
