It’s official… I’m a Vermonter.

Coffee

Well, maybe not… I’m told that no-one is genuinely a Vermonter until they’re third-generation. But I’m a Vermont resident. ;)

The sale of a home here is an old-fashioned, gather all parties around the table affair. Very different from what I’m used to in Kansas City, where I’ve never sat at a closing with either buyer or seller… in fact, in the recent sale of my Kansas City home I participated exclusively via FedEx.

So what’s this got to do with coffee? Nothin’. ‘Cept that I’ll soon be moved in and have access to coffee equipment [roasters, espresso machine, etc.] I haven’t seen in quite some time. More important, though, it means that I’ll soon no longer be in exile in a B&B, and most important to me: my lovely, patient wife is once again by my side.

And that’s a very good thing. ;)

I’ll likely be posting very little the next few days… much to do before the movers arrive on Friday!

  • Hello.

Your author.Bloggle is the online playground of Doug Cadmus, a usability guy, author, photographer and sometime dramatist who moved to Vermont for the coffee. When not writing, reading or walking his neurotic golden retriever, he roasts coffee in his garage and is the Web Guy for Green Mountain Coffee in Waterbury, Vermont.
