When you’re winter-bound, home-roasting coffee is something of a seasonal practice. Roasting indoors is messy and smokey and generally disagreeable to fire alarms, which are in turn disagreeable to dogs, and to beloved spouses. Long story short, it’s a Good Idea to roast outdoors, or at the very least in the garage, which — if you’re *really* winterbound — is something of a frozen tundra in and of itself.
And so, like any proper vernal harbinger — the first robin, or the first pitch of the baseball season — the first roast of a newly-sprung Spring is an event. An event, I daresay, that’s worthy of podcasting.
Never roasted coffee, you say? Tune in and get an earful.
