Puck’s Can o’ Caffeine, Hacked

Coffee Web/Tech

For those of you who want your cup of joe to go in a self-heating can (anybody? anybody? Bueller?) here’s Make’s deconstruction of the Wolfgang Puck espresso beverage thing. Or, here’s one muggle’s view of how Harry Potter’s world might do the same.

If what you want is a portable cup of fresh coffee, get a thermal mug. If what you want is a portable cup of fresh coffee that you can brew later (given a reasonable value of later) get a travel coffee press, fill it with ground coffee and — when you want to enjoy your coffee — add hot water.

I read somewhere yesterday about this and how the temperature you had it stored caused great differences in the temperature it attained at finish.

We reviewed the Wolfgang Puck Instant Hot Latte at Single Serve Coffee.com. Many readers have written in with mixed results concerning using the cans in different temperatures and climates.
