Pastores Farm & Beneficio

Coffee

A new Flickr slideshow — this time the Pastores farm and beneficio just about ten minutes from Antigua, Guatemala. Pastores is a stunning place; a colonial-style oasis that doubles as a weekend spa and retreat from the hustle and bustle of Guatemala City.

Everything about the farm reflects Hans’ meticulous attention to detail, and that passion — or obsession, really — comes through in the cup.

some stunning photos in there. Thanks for posting this – I wish there were more things like this online for coffee. The signal to noise ratio on the web is still not so good when it comes to really peering into origin.

Thanks! Someday we’ll get as good at casting a romantic light on origin as you’re doing at the espresso bar…

It was a pleasant surprise to discover the guy posting those latte art glamour shots on Flickr was the very same who was postin’ about roastin’ at Tonx.org.

I just got back from Antigua Guatemala from an orgin trip with GMCR. Wow, i had an amazing time a trip of a life time. I am so thankful to have met so many great people in Guatemala and to have had the experience of their beautiful country. I love it there and i would go back again. From the active volcano to the Antigua farm at Hans place and what a great guy he is, very sincere and treated us like family. I will never look at a cup of coffee the same again the work that goes into growing and processing the beans is amazing. Great work to all the hard working farmers of Guatemala.

    I miss you already,
    Sincerely,
