Ever wanted to see how a coffee house is born?
Witness Cafe Grumpy… a not-quite-yet-opened shop on the corner of Meserole Ave. and Diamond St. in Brooklyn, New York. (Fortune, is this your back-yard, or what?)
They’ve lined up Seattle’s Victrola to source their beans, and a trick Synesso espresso machine. They’ve just finished a second round of espresso training with Victrola’s Kyle and Tony. (Woot!) The build-out looks spiffy (and I take it there’s a lot of sweat equity in this one).
In short, it sure looks from here like they’re doin’ it right… so if you’re in Brooklyn, why don’t you drop by when they open on the 15th, and welcome them to the neighborhood?
