I love Paradise as well. They have turned me on to some of the best coffee I've had, so then to see them supporting something like Coffee Kids just makes it better. A raft of last-second bids ran this auction up out of the range I'd entered -- but not out of the range I'd planned to spend. That's nobody's fault but my own. And so, I'll be writing a check to Coffee Kids for *more* than the amount that this coffee was sold for, and eating crow in place of sipping coffee. ;) More to the point, the winning bid went up by half before all was said and done, and that's good news for Coffee Kids all around. They provided me with my first lesson in how different roasters can bring out the best or not much at all in the same coffee.
