		<description>Though I don't drink espresso at home, I do enjoy the coffees that the Roasterie offers. They recently started selling small batches of rare coffees they call Roasterie Reserve. I have tried everyone so far. My favorite has been their coffee from the island of Flores, Keli Mutu. Very unique. 

I am a die hard Stumptown coffee guy (being from Portland originally) but I have become more eclectic in the companies I buy from, including Intelligentsia (their new El Salvadoran coffee is fantastic) and The Roasterie.

		<description>An amazing espresso! I always keep some on hand. I had this coffee as a guest espresso in one of my favorite shops and haven't been able to stop drinking it.  I need to try some of their other espresso too. Congrats to The Roasterie.</description>

		<description>I think Intelligentsia and The Roasterie are both great midwestern coffee roasters. Both focus on sourcing and roasting outstanding coffees. The differences between them were largely philosophical to begin with, and I think they're narrowing. The biggest divide may be that the Roasterie is an air roaster, and Intelligentsia relies on big 'ol Probat drums. ;)

I suspect that Intelligentsia spends more time on the ground at origin (there's probably few greenies who log more travel time than Intelligentsia's Geoff Watts). I think this gives Intelligentsia an edge in finding lots that might go unnoticed by programs like Cup of Excellence... but if there's a great coffee around, Danny O'Neill will often as not sniff it out.

In the end, though, it's really about what &lt;em&gt;you&lt;/em&gt; like... and you could do worse than either of these folks.</description>

		<description>Great review. I found this link through the Super Tuscan website. Thank you for your help with this info. It sounds like I should probably give this espresso a try. Their ad was in Imbibe this month and I thought I should check it out.
