Rissy - I've got some stuff I might be sending you offline.

Meanwhile, feel free to note anything right here that you'd like to call out. ;)

I could kick-start the conversation by noting this: I discovered only when I was finished writing that I'd made a fundamental booboo with this story. I didn't tell it from the right point of view. It's not Harvey who's really got the most at stake here... it's Marjorie Feeling.

As an exercise I'm very probably going to rewrite this from her POV to see what happens, story-wise. I should think it might up the drama quotient a bit.

Good to hear he's still kicking around! Not so good that he's tinkering with your technology, but sometimes writers have to suffer for their art.

I certainly enjoyed this story, let me know sometime if you ever want a critique or commentary.

Your powers of recollection are, as always, scary sharp.

Pixl, the imp of whom you speak, is alive and well and anxious that his story is told. He is currently stuck in the second desk drawer on the left, and occasionally bangs around and breaks things in his attempt to get out. Only last week he wiped a brand-new memory card clean -- it's a good thing I had a back-up.
